Revised Obituary for Michael W. Haughn

 Michael W. Haughn, age 69, passed away November 1, 2016. He is survived by wife, Janet Haughn; children, Brian (Kimberly) Haughn; daughter in-law, Milly Haughn and 7 grandchildren; Paige, Ashley, Mia, Alex, Carys, Max and Crosby and sister, Cindy (William) Katris. Preceded in death by son, Christopher T. Haughn MD, FACS; brother, Terry Haughn; father, Roger Haughn and mother, Naomi Haughn. Michael was founder and chairman of Haughn and Assoc, Inc. He thoroughly enjoyed working with his employees, colleagues and helping his clients. Michael was proud that Haughn and Assoc, Inc. was voted Best Place to Work in 2007 by Business First and was the 2011 Torch Award recipient from The Better Business Bureau. Michael graduated from Kent State University with a BBA in Economics and Finance. He was past President of the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Subcontractor Assoc. He was recipient of the 1986 President's Award from National Committee of Insurance and Surety. He was past President of the Central Ohio Associated Builders and Contractors. Michael was a member of the Kent State University College of Business Administration National Advisory Board as well as an advocate in establishing the Career Closet Fund. He was a member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Naples, Fl. Michael enjoyed travel, making new friends, rebuilding classic cars and spending time fishing with his friends and family. A visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road Columbus, OH 43221 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 with a memorial service held at UPPER ARLINGTON LUTHERAN CHURCH 2300 Lytham Road Columbus, OH 43220 at 11am, Friday November 4, 2016.
